Protein Slice: No-bake, gluten free, dairy free.

Protein bars are a great portable snack to help meet your daily protein intake goals and satisfy cravings in-between meals. Making your own not only saves money but lets you take control of what goes into them!


No-bake protein slice


Another quick and easy protein snack option here where you can add your own twist (or remove peanut butter as per my teenagers request).


No need to spend unnecessary dollars on those pre-packaged options which often have a long list of ingredients - get onto your own and customise this No-bake Protein Slice!


Ingredients


  • 2 cups puffed quinoa

  • 1 cup protein powder (plant-based)

  • 1 cup shredded coconut

  • 1/4 cup raw cacao

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/4 ground flaxseed

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 3 Tbsp maple syrup


* If mixture seems too dry…add a bit more coconut oil.



Directions:

  1. Mix all ingredients together with a wooden spoon until well combined.

  2. Press into lamington pan (use hands).

  3. Refrigerate until set.

  4. Cut into small bars ready to take anywhere (can even freeze).
